“ We celebrated a birthday at de Fuego as we've never been here before. The place is very upscale in an old-fashioned way. You go in, and you're met with ceiling windows that radiate through the room. The place was filled with people and enjoying their foods and company. We had a range of different dishes including the meat board and prosciutto. The meat board came with steak, potatoes, bacon, sausages, etc - covering all the bases for meat. The place is upscale, as mentioned, which means that their prices are a little high. It was a little hard to navigate to the restaurant initially because it's connected to a hotel. ”
“ We ordered off of the HH menu; no drink order required. Enjoyed the mole tacos de Fuego burger which were delicious. I also had the field green salad with lemon vinaigrette which I liked especially the pepitas. Server was very familiar with the menu and which items were gluten free. We ate in the bar which was very noisy even though only half full; we were lucky to get a booth and noticed if we sat towards the back it was quieter. Despite the noise enjoyed the trendy decor. ”
“ Nice restaurant. It is in a hotel, but it seems to be the best spot in the area. There were people constantly walking in and lots of people with reservations. Ordered to go, so I didn't check my order until I got to my room. Got a salad that didn't have any dressing. I mean honestly, it was still pretty good, just dry. The pizza was perfect though and a great size! The staff are very friendly too. ”
“ I wanted some place special to take a friend out to lunch for her birthday. Neither one of us had been here before but the online menu sounded good so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! I had the Mesa Brunch Burger with bacon jam, garlic aioli, smoked gouda and a fried egg on a brioche bun, served with house potatoes. My friend had the Smoked Ham Benedict served on a croissant with poached eggs, hollandaise and house potatoes. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. Parking is plentiful and easy to find as the restaurant is located inside the Monarch Hotel. Service was attentive and our classes were kept full. The dining room is spacious and clean, a nice bright inviting place to eat a meal. I want to go back soon and try something else on the menu - there's some mighty tasty-sounding things on that menu! ”
“ Second time here, and I'd still come back for dinner! Ambiance: 5/5 The space is beautiful, with a fancy vibe and thoughtful decor. They're connected to a hotel, so there's plenty of parking. One standout feature is their secret speakeasy downstairs, which I discovered on my first visit--it's incredibly vibey and a great experience. Service: 5/5 The staff is very friendly and attentive. Great service overall! Food: 4/5 Their brunch menu is just okay--honestly, I don't even remember what we ordered. However, their dinner menu is amazing. On my first visit, I had the salmon chimichurri and bone marrow with bread, and both were absolutely 5/5 dishes. I'd definitely recommend coming here for dinner and checking out the speakeasy if you can! ”
“ It's a bit pricey, but totally worth the experience. The interior of the restaurant is so cool - there's ambient lighting and plants all around. The service was a little lacking, but it also seemed as if there was only one server for all the tables on a Friday night. They did, however, bring me a free birthday dessert when my husband mentioned we were celebrating! The food is intended to be more family style for dinner, but that can be a little difficult for my husband and I because we have different diets. I ordered the Brazilian Salmon, as I was craving a really nicely cooked salmon for dinner and this met my expectations. It was cooked perfectly, had excellent flavor, and the risotto was a great, creamy contrast. We got a side of the Asado vegetables, which were grilled and just perfectly seasoned. I honestly could've just eaten a whole plate of them! We also tried the Jalapeño grit fritters and totally enjoyed them. They weren't too spicy, but very flavorful. They did have a similar texture inside to the risotto, though, so it was a bit much for me to have both. Overall, a big fan of the food and ambiance, but attentiveness of the service was a little lacking. ”
“ De Fuego is more than a restaurant and it's an experience. The ambiance feels like a cozy, hidden Spanish gem with warm lighting and rich decor. The service was spot-on, friendly, and perfectly timed. The food was a standout: the pizza had just the right kick, I constantly order the Brazilian salmon, and the grilled octopus was smoky and tender. Every dish showed careful attention to detail. If you want more than just a meal, De Fuego delivers an unforgettable dining experience. ”
“ Amazing restaurant inside the Monarch Hotel, de Fuego never misses for me. I always make sure to make a reservation in advance so honestly I'm not too sure how quick it is to get in when you just do a walk in. Inside is nicely decorated, I like the restaurant ambiance very jazzy laid back with the dim lights. The staff are friendly and provides good hospitality, food comes out fast every item was just chef kiss. Ordered: Steak Frites 10oz we got medium rare, it comes with fries I should've just gotten it rare, it wasn't as tender as I thought. Fuego Mac was delicious the small sweetie drop pepper was such an amazing add on, this combo was something I've never had before. Jamon Burrata- is a must get dish trust me! This is an elevated salad with aged Spanish ham with 2 pc of fried crostini, I wish I could just get their recipe for the marinated heirloom tomatoes. I will always order this dish every time I'm here! Bone Marrow Bread- whole French baguette dipped in bone marrow butter yes it can be a greasy but this is a good starter dish to share with your table, it's one of the crowd favorite. They have a speakeasy with live band performing jazz downstairs, highly recommend checking it out. Will continue to be back! ”
“ Great restaurant nestled away near Clackamas mall in the Monarch Hotel. Server was amazing and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend the Broccolini! We came for HH in the bar and it was filled up within 1/2 hour of starting so be sure to arrive early if you want to catch HH. ”
“ Took my boyfriend here on a birthday dinner. He said there's another steakhouse downstairs but wanted me to try the food in general. It's located inside a hotel with lots of parking spaces. Upon arrival, you are greeted. The place has a super cute ambience where it's perfect for celebrations or a date night. On to the food! Ceviche: was amazing packed with flavors. 5/5 Brussels: amazing and loved the sauce! 5/5 Argentine Asado: this was perfect portion to try the yummy meats and sauces. 5/5 Carrot cake: wasn't too sweet 4/5 Overall everything was great. I had a spicy margarita and it went perfect with all the meats. Left with leftovers and had a happy tummy. ”
